Sandra Kerr is well known as the co-writer, with John Faulkner, of the music for "Bagpuss", (voted 'best-loved BBC TV children's programme' in 1999), she directs folk choirs (including the popular and award-winning Northumbrian Choir Werca's Folk) and is greatly respected as a tutor of folk arts: "Sandra is a great voice teacher", Folkworks
Alexander D Great was born in Trinidad and grew up in London. A musician and composer for over 40 years, Alex's work entails performance, running his own small record label and doing calypso workshops in schools and colleges. Between 2000 and 2012 he was Calypsonian-in-Residence for the BBC. He was UK Calypso Monarch in 2010 and 2011.
Corrina Hewat is a singer, harpist and composer, and widely recognised as one of Scotland's most unique and innovative musicians. Born in Edinburgh and raised in the Scottish Highlands, her huge range of musical influences has contributed greatly to her very individual take on traditional music. From an early age she was taught piano and fiddle before taking up the harp at the age of 13.
Sophia Efthimiou is singer, choir leader and music teacher based in London and Sussex. She has a unique and infectious style, bringing a sweet balance of humour and depth to her workshops. Her warm and playful nature creates a sense of ease and unity, enabling everyone to drop into a space that is both held and free.
Anna Tabbush is a singer, composer, conductor and SingFest founder and director. She started the first SingFest as a way of bringing together members from local community choirs in celebration of their shard love of singing. Anna runs the SingFest vocal warm-ups each morning and facilitates the group composition of the SingFest Song each year.
